Born in Tulum, Casa Chicozapote emerged as a living rhythm — a house for art, movement, and collective creation. Its essence is openness: a place that welcomes rather than owns.
Drums, dance, and voice shape its identity, art as connection, rhythm as language.
The design system was conceived as an independent communication study within Caldera Norte’s cultural design practice — built from repetition, geometry, and rhythm.
Its simplicity protects its integrity.
Design & Communication System
The identity avoids noise. It speaks through rhythm, not ornament. Each visual element — form, type, composition —communicates sincerity and accessibility.
Nothing imposed, nothing excessive.
Open-source and collaborative by intent,
the system mirrors the spirit of exchange:
clarity, participation, and belonging.

Cultural Identity & Purpose
Casa Chicozapote exists as a cultural home for those who create —
musicians, dancers, sculptors, and voices in search of rhythm.
It functions through collaboration, not hierarchy.
Events, workshops, and gatherings form a continuous dialogue
between art and community.
Each exchange — whether symbolic or tangible —
nourishes the house and those who inhabit it.
The rhythm extends outward into celebration and memory.
Outcome & Continuity
Originally developed in 2023–2024 as a living communication experiment,
the project transformed space into language.
From rhythm to structure, coherence remains the quiet foundation.
It endures as a visual and ethical system —
where art circulates without demand,
and design sustains presence without spectacle.
